01.04.2017 - IMB Report - Vessel hijacked off Somalia

To: All Ships Transiting Off Somalia / Gulf of Aden

A dhow with 11 crew onboard was enroute from Dubai to Bosaso, Somalia was hijacked by pirates on 01 Apr 2017. Thereafter, the dhow was taken to Eyl coast, Somalia. The pirates are still onboard and demanded a ransom.

Vessels are advised to maintain strict anti-piracy watch and measures. Adhere to the latest BMP recommendations.

All attacks and suspicious sightings should be reported.
